Upton has a thriving Badminton Club. In September 2001 Upton B.C. formally merged with Chase B.C. and is now known as the Chase and Upton Badminton Club. We play at the Chase High School, Geraldine Road, Malvern on a Monday night 7.00 to 10.00pm during the Autumn and Spring terms and every Friday evening at Malvern College Sports Hall, Woodshears Road, Malvern. (Autumn and Spring Terms 7.30 to 10.00pm Summer Term 8.00 to 10.00)
The club was formed during the 1960s and the early membership consisted of local players and some staff from the Hill School, which was the playing venue. Over the years the club continued to thrive and subsequently entered teams into the league. When the Hill School closed the club was extremely fortunate to secure use of the excellent facilities at Malvern College. We would very much like to hear from anyone who would be interested in joining a friendly but competitive organisation. |
