Upton Town Mayor, John Thompson, presented marine industry MARINA OPERATIVES training awards to John Izod (29) and Alwyn Williams (45) of Upton Marina.

The Marina Operatives Course is aimed at professional marina staff such as dock masters, berthing and mooring administrators, yard assistants, and site care and maintenance staff, and covers all aspects of the marina business. The course is run and awarded by the British Marine Federation.

John and Alwyn both live in Upton, and have worked at Upton Marina for over ten years.
