The Pepperpot Players were founded over 25 years ago by Martin Harker and Roger Corbett Milward. It is an amateur non-profit making organisation and we have members from all surrounding areas, not just Upton including lots of children from Upton Primary School and Longdon St. Mary's Primary School who have been involved in our pantomimes and are also members of the junior Peppercorns group. Each year we donate large sums to local charities such as Upton Community Care, SARA River Patrol, Royal British Legion etc. and have recently held a benefit evening where we raised £500 for Upton in Bloom. We only keep enough money to pay for hall hire, insurance, scripts and musical scores performing rights, ticket and programme expenses, costumes and props. We pride ourselves on making fantastic costumes, props and scenery out of scraps and odds and ends. No-one is paid for their involvement - it is all voluntary and people put an enormous amount of time into every production. The Pepperpot Players productions have become incredibly popular events and performances are regularly supported by local people throughout the district and visitors to Upton. If you would like to join us, we meet for rehearsals on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7.30 p.m. at Upton's Memorial Hall - everyone is welcome!
