Pepperpot Players

November 2011

The excellent musical play 'The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13¾' has sadly come to an end. Harry Evans gave a wonderfully sensitive and amusing performance in the lead role backed by a stellar cast and band. Another great production from Upton-on-Severn's very own theatre company, the Pepperpot Players.

Without pausing for breath, the Pepperpot Players are already busily rehearsing for the next pantomime 'Dick Whittington and his Cat' which will be performed at the Memorial Hall, Upton-on-Severn during half term week from 14th to 18th February 2012. 'Dick Whittington and his Cat' by Peter Denyer will be directed by Penny Sant. Set in medieval England, a lively bunch of outrageous characters such as Dame Sarah the Cook, King Rat and his Lieutenant and Fairy Bowbells, not to mention the cat, good old Dick W and the merry chorus all jostle to upstage one another in this hilarious traditional pantomime. Will Dick Whittington replace Boris as the Lord Mayor of London and find true love? We can only hope for the best! Make a date in your new diary to come along and have a great time finding out.
