Little Shop of Horrors

OCTOBER 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th at 7.30pm

The Pepperpot Players are busy rehearsing their next masterpiece, this time in the form of a "Rock Musical". For those of you unfamiliar with the Little Shop, it is a humorous production full of wonderful singing and dancing, and will certainly provide an entertaining night out for everyone.

There are plenty of new faces in the cast, acting alongside many that you will know from other shows. The musical side promises to be excellent, with the arrival of several exceptional singers, and a very talented live band. The "Three Ronettes" (Vanessa Dawe, Elizabeth Lindsell and Laura Sawle) fill the show with first class close harmony, and for those of you who like dancing, the introduction of a new choreographer should keep your toes tapping.

The story is based in downtown U.S.A. and is the tale of how a small pot plant (Audrey 2, a.k.a. Ben Leeke) turns into a blood loving man eater, thus altering the lives of all around it, not least of it's owner, Seymour (Ben Wilson), and the girl he loves, fellow shop assistant, Audrey (Karen Biggs). The arrival of a sadistic dentist adds to the fun of the plot, and should help all you dental phobics out there to think twice before booking your next checkup!

Upton won't have had a performance like this before; it's going to be a great show, so make sure you get down to the Memorial Hall to see it. You'll get tickets from P.S. Presents on Old Street, cost £4.00 Wednesday, £4.50 Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Lots of people are working very hard to get this show on stage, so please support your local community and put your bottom on a seat. You never know, you might be so impressed that you'll want to join in the next show. You'll be made very welcome, make new friends and if you don't fancy treading the boards there are always plenty of jobs backstage!
