'The day the rains came down'

Preparations were in hand for the Blues Festival. The Festival Committee had obtained a grant and invited many of the groups in town, as well as the Primary School, to attend workshops to paint flags. About 120 flags in total were made. The first outing for the flags was for the Blues Festival. A group of volunteers put the flags on the bridge and in the Old Churchyard in the pouring rain. Little did we know what was to come...
