Peter Bellamy stood down as Chairman. Jackie Surtees was nominated as Chairman, and was elected. Peter will continue with his position as Treasurer, and he will take the position of Vice-Chairman, and Diane Bellamy stays as Secretary. All the Committee members elected to stay on the Committee. Bill Fidoe, Friend of Upton in Bloom has now joined the Committee. Barbara Hartley presented a cheque for £135 from donations made at her Dunns Lane garden featuring 'Mr Bill & Mrs Lizzie'. Jackie thanked Peter for his sterling work as Chairman. Peter guided Upton in Bloom to its best ever year and, as Jackie said, he will be a hard act to follow! Following the AGM, the awards for the 'Local in Bloom' competition were presented by Jenny Redfern, Co-ordinator of the Heart of England in Bloom Campaign.
