2009 Awards

Sylvia, Marjorie & Jackie were accompanied by Upton's Mayor Cllr Paul Thomas at the Awards Ceremony which was held in Pershore Abbey - not too far to travel this year! Also at the Awards were Phillipa White (Upton Surgery's Practice Manager), Peter & Liz (Berrow Court) and Caroline & Colin (The Anchor, Welland), who had all taken part in the Neighbourhood Awards. Little Blossoms Nursery also took part in the Neighbourhood Awards, but nobody was able to attend the ceremony. Hanley Castle School won a Heart of England Discretionary Award Certificate of Merit in acknowledgement of the pupils participating in lunchtime litter picks.

On 5th September the Tourist Information Centre displayed the Awards in their window.
