Planting Black Poplars

With permission from Upton Surgery and Upton Town Council, we planted male and female native Black Poplar (Populus nigra ssp. betulifolia). Now one of the rarest trees in Britain, the Black Poplar was used for cruck barns and carts, and featured in John Constable's The Hay Wain. A fact sheet on the Black Poplar can be found here.
