New Street Flood Defences

Work has commenced on the bund. The first picture was taken from the back of Hanley Road car park to create the access road to the bund construction area. Tree felling and hedge removal is taking place at the back of the Skate Park on the Sports Field.

Work is also ongoing created the exit from the Marina for lorries carrying the clay for the bund. The lorries will travel through Hanley Road car park to the bund area. The area in what will be the Marina's second basin from where clay was removed for the Hylton Road bund in Worcester is being pumped out.
