Week Commencing 21st February 2011

A start has been made on bringing clay from the Marina. The clay is loaded onto a lorry at the Marina, taken to the edge of the basin and unloaded. It is then loaded into a road lorry which takes it to the compound off New Street and unloads it. From there it will be loaded up and taken to the far end of the Sports Field, and the bund will be built backwards from there. The right hand side of Hanley Road car park has been fenced off, separating the lorries from cars using the car park. There are traffic lights at Hanley Road, but they weren't in use when I was there at about 12 noon on 23rd February.
