Sod Cutting Ceremony

A large crowd gathered outside the Sports Pavillion to see Harriett Baldwin MP cut the first sod for the New Street element of the Flood Defence system. First to speak was Dafydd Evans, Area Manager Environment Agency who was followed by Grahame Bunn, Landlord of the Kings Head and Vice Chairman of Upton Flood Forum. Harriett then spoke, and went into the Sports Field to cut the sod. Andrea Morgan, Upton upon Severn Mayor, and District Councillor Mike Morgan, Chairman of Malvern Hills District Council were also in attendance.
