Money was short & a special appeal had to be made for the Tower and Spire:
Mr and Mrs G. E. Martin offered £1,000 to the £1,900 which would be required.

Decision to go ahead reported.

"A good photograph of the Church was taken by Mr Shirvington on 20th May
with the workmen and others naturally grouped about the building and scaffolding."
