FROM BUSHLEY ALMANAC 1876

April 20th 1875

"On this day, Miss Elizabeth Guilding, only surviving daughter of Mr & Mrs John Guilding, of Bushley Park, was married at the Parish Church, to Mr Benjamin George Hall of Hanley Castle. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. E.R. Powdeswell. The bride was attended by two bridesmaids, namely her cousin, Miss Hill and the bridegrooms sister, Miss Hall. The brides brother, Mr Lansdown Guilding, representing her father at the Church, gave the bride away. The Wedding party found that their friends and neighbours in the Village had erected two floral arches across the road to the Church as a token of the interest they felt in the happiness and welfare of the bride. Mr & Mrs Guilding entertained a party of their friends and relatives at Bushley Park, after the Service."
