On 17th June the Environment Agency held an exhibition showing plans and pictures of the plans so far for the riverside flood defences in the Memorial Hall, and height indicators were erected on the riverfront. The photos and plans on the boards are all size A3. In order: between the Kings Head and the Plough; the disabled area; opposite Bridge House (2 pictures) and Waterside. The scaffolding platform has yellow and black tape to indicate the height to which the road will be levelled, and the height of the pavement against the wall. The platform in the scaffolding is apparently moreorless the height of the pavement. 3rd August: below these pictures are the photomontages and visualisations displayed on the boards and at the exhibition. Clicking on the pictures will open another page with a much larger picture. NB: The visualisation looking from Severn Leisure Cruises to the Kings Head does not represent the current proposal as there is to be a kerb rather than steps between the footway and the road. Otherwise it is the same. The visualisation looking towards the Swan does not represent the current proposal as there is to be a single step rather than multiple steps shown. |
