Remembrance Day 2005

 

A large number of people attended the Remembrance Day parade and church service.

Representatives from the Royal British Legion, District & Town Councillors, Army Cadets, Fire Service, Mercia Inshore Search and Rescue, Upton Tourism & Trade Association, Upton Rowing Club, Upton Rugby Club, Guides, Brownies and Rainbows, Scouts, Cubs and Beavers, children from Upton Primary School and St John Ambulance were led by Upton Youth Band from New Street to the church and, following the service, to the War Memorial in the Old Churchyard where wreaths were laid.

Every year the Royal British Legion remember Admiral Sir William Tennant.
