1st - 13th December 2004

On 13th December the last of the beams were being put into place - so the whole of the new viaduct is now spanned. Each beam is grouted onto the cross beam and bolted to its neighbour. Form work is fixed to the bottom of the beams and then reinforcement rods are being threaded through.

The abutment slabs have a huge amount of reinforcements and the first concrete pour to create the west abutment slab took place on 7th November.
