Viaduct March 2005


March 5th to 31st

Laser Civil Engineering have finished spraying the waterproofing undercoat. This week sees the commencement of tying in the new viaduct to the A4104

8th March - temporary traffic lights are now in place

15th March - The viaduct has had a surface of red ashphalt put on it. Curbstones are ready for placing. On 14th March BBC Hereford & Worcester interviewed Bill Dovey (Upton Tourism & Trade Association) and John Fraser (Highways). Wire baskets are being placed alongside the existing road and will be filled with stone. The drainage system below the viaduct is being installed.

25th March - the fence posts are in place on either side of the viaduct, pipes for services are in place and pavements are being laid. Construction has commenced on the road with the curbstones being laid on the opposite side of the road to the Marina.
