The first set of beams which will provide the basis for the new roadway arrived on the 21st. Weighing approximately 2 tons each the beams are laid between the reinforcing rods on the cross beams. This part of the job is expected to take about 10 days.
Work is also continuing at either end where the new viaduct will join the road.
