Welcome to our Festival web site. We hope that you will be able to come to our Festival in 2008 and enjoy the fun and frolic which has invaded the town for the last fifteen years. The festival takes place during the First May Bank Holiday of each year. Pictures from 4th May (Upton website) Pictures from 3rd May (Upton website) Come and support Upton after all the flooding, the local community need YOUR support! For 2008 there will be lots of concerts, ceilidhs and workshops, plus the new, bigger Main Venue... fantastic value for your money! This year we're offering reduced rate festival tickets for members. See the ‘Join us' page for further details. Also new for 2008 is the opportunity to purchase tickets over the phone via Upton TIC (debit/credit card only). Further details can be found on the ‘Tickets' link. We're expecting huge numbers of superb Morris and other dance sides over the May Bank Holiday weekend again (in 2007 we had a record-breaking 50 dance sides!). The famous Grand Procession promises to be just as spectacular too. If you're keen to participate and you want to strut your stuff, there are Folk Clubs in which you can ask for a spot with their MC - it's a great way for us to spot new talent for next year...Just turn up in good time before the start and ask. (Spots will be allocated at the discretion of the MC.) There're the usual free dances under the bridge too, plus the 'Upton Fringe' that's so popular. Watch out for the spontaneous street acts that add to the wonderful atmosphere in the streets. You can also explore the beautiful local countryside of the River Severn, set in the foothills of the Malverns, on a magical musical meander. But don't miss the annual Duck Race!
